Ratha Yatra and India Festival Eindhoven 2024

Join us for a vibrant celebration of Indian culture at the India Festival in the heart of Eindhoven on Saturday, 25 May! Located just a short walk from Central Station, on the 18 September Square, you’ll find a lively market bustling with stalls offering Indian clothing, books, and delicious vegetarian snacks.

Highlights:

• Ratha Yatra Procession: Experience the traditional Indian procession, the Ratha Yatra, arriving at the square around 3:30 PM. ‘Ratha’ means ‘cart’ and ‘Yatra’ means ‘journey’. The procession starts at 1:30 PM at St.Trudoplein in Strijp and features the deity Jagannatha, the ‘Lord of the Universe’, usually enshrined in temples, now making a festive journey through the city.
